Eric Butterfield is a singer/songwriter and music producer in Northern California. He has spent three decades performing in bands, and currently performs as a solo acoustic act. His latest single placed Runner-Up in the 2020 Song Of The Year competition.

A previous single, “Wake Me in Paris” (co-written with Scott Mickelson), is the outgrowth of a custom song. It was a semi-finalist in the 2017 International Songwriting Competition (unsigned category), as well as a semi-finalist in the 2018 Unsigned Only music competition. His soon-to-be-released song, "In Love With Love," made the semi-finals in the 2019 Song of the Year songwriting contest.

Eric also creates music under the moniker, Sons of the Golden West, and released an instrumental album called "Punch Drunk Moon" in January 2020.

Eric's music (including three tracks on "Punch Drunk Moon") has appeared in more than 260 TV episodes. His music has appeared on many major networks, including NBC ("The Today Show"), CBS College Sports, Discovery ("Porter Ridge"), A&E ("Born This Way"), BBC America, MTV, VH1, Bravo, TLC, Animal Planet, and National Geographic Explorer.
